Rescue the Roots: Save Grassroots Youth Music Projects

Without urgent action, young people across the UK could lose access to grassroots youth music projects within a decade. 41% of these vital projects are at risk of closure.

To fight this crisis, we're launching ‘Rescue the Roots’—a £1 million fundraising campaign to protect the future of the grassroots youth music sector.

Every pound raised will be matched by us, until a total of £2 million is quickly distributed to youth organisations and emerging young creatives.

This will provide crucial support for over 18,000 young people in 2025.

Join the movement. Save the future of music.

Jordan Stephens joins the campaign

Rizzle Kicks singer and author Jordan Stephens has made his support for the Rescue the Roots campaign permanent—with a new tattoo.

After watching the Rescue the Roots documentary at the Youth Music Awards 2024, Jordan delivered a powerful speech on the importance of youth music—then took his commitment one step further.

Designed by Jade Thirlwall, the tattoo symbolises the urgent need to protect grassroots youth music spaces.
