Our hosts must be confident in front of a large crowd, have a passion for music, and will ideally have experience in broadcasting, live events, or both! Experience and qualities we’re seekingMinimum CriteriaPrevious experience hosting large events, presenting on radio, TV, or online platforms.Essential Ability to write an engaging script and adapt it as needed up until the night of the event, and improvise when required to keep the energy highAble to follow event timings, handle unexpected situations, and maintain a smooth flow between performances and awards working under pressureConfident speaking in front of a large audience (500+ people) with strong stage presence.A confident and charismatic communicatorOpen to taking direction and instructions on board Able to collaborate and work with another co-host Willing to put the preparation work in before the event e.g. script writing as a duo and rehearsals leading up to the event Skilled at keeping energy levels high, engaging with the audience, and adapting to the atmosphereDesirableA fan of music and culture, whatever your favourite genreGenuine enthusiasm for the music industry and an understanding of its impact on young peopleYouth Music aims to support young people in the early stages of developing creative careers, therefore we would particularly like to encourage applications from those aged 25 or under (or up to 30 if d/Deaf, Disabled or neurodivergent).Before applying, click 'Find out more' above to read the full job description for this role.
