This training event is part of the Take Art’s SoundWaves Network SW Youth Music and Somerset Music Hub funded programme.

Through a mix of guided, self-directed and adult led strategies, this session will explore some approaches that support musical behaviour and creative play in the EYFS.

In this session we will:
 

• Learn how to incorporate a range of typical classroom resources and children’s books as a starting point for music making, songwriting and the freedom to imagine, perform and improvise.
• Explore some of the theories that explain how being musical underpins social skills, communication and interactions.
• How to use music to have even more fun in the EYFS classroom, learn about your children and enable children’s voice.
