We are delighted to open applications for our 2024 Emergents programme! A part of the Drake Music Collective, our professional development programme for Disabled musicians, the Emergents programme will work with 5 artists this year. Each artist will receive a £1000 bursary plus other benefits.

What is on offer?

The Emergents programme is part of the Drake Music Collective – our professional development programme for Disabled musicians.

This year we will select 5 Emergent artists.

Each artist will get:

  • £1000 bursary to support their future goals and creative ideas.
  • an opportunity to showcase your work to an audience of industry professionals at a hybrid in-person/online event in 2025 (date to be confirmed).
  • £375 stipend to attend 3 online creative sessions with other Disabled musicians from our Future Leaders programme.
  • £50 stipend to attend an online networking session with other musicians from our network

Who can apply?

This opportunity is open to musicians who are:

  • Emergent
  • Disabled 
  • live in England. 

We particularly welcome applications from:

  • people from the global majority
  • women and people with marginalised genders 
  • LGBTQIA+ people.

We are committing to awarding at least 3 bursaries to members of the global majority.

How to apply

  • Send us your completed expression of interest form by Monday 30th September.
  • We will email you the application questions on Monday 14th October. 
  • Submit your application and diversity monitoring form by Sunday 10th November.
