As part of the awards, we offer 18-25 year old creatives paid opportunities to work on the event, alongside a team of experienced professionals.
Having young people involved makes the event unique, and what differentiates it from other industry award ceremonies. We're therefore excited that Live Nation have come on board this year to sponsor these roles.
NextGen paid roles include hosting, video editing, production support, and running and all those working at the event will also receive training opportunities to help progress their careers.

lockdownT is a dynamic London-based actor, presenter, host, and content creator with a deep passion for music. His diverse content includes everything from witty studio skits to engaging interviews, brand campaigns, and hosting gigs.
A strong supporter of both emerging and established artists, lockdownT creates humorous and relatable videos that resonate with his audience, generating remarkable engagement across his channels. As his platform continues to grow, he is expanding his content verticals by inviting artists into his creative space and producing longer-form visuals that offer even more depth and entertainment.
Livvy K
Host
Livvy K is a 23-year-old multi-talented music artist, presenter, model, and actress based in Manchester. A rising star to watch, she’s already rocked the stage, owned the runway, and dominated screens. Her debut EP, Finally Free, Finally Me, marks a significant milestone, beautifully capturing her journey into adulthood and exploring themes of self-expression. As a Youth Music Next Gen Artist, Livvy K’s vibrant, multi-genre sound has caught the attention of BBC Introducing, led to collaborations with fashion giants like Pretty Little Thing and Boohoo, and has seen her headline her first festival. Beyond music, she’s also created content and presented for iconic brands such as Chanel and Harper's Bazaar and has interviewed major artists like Gorgon City and Ben Hemsley. Livvy K is beyond excited to be making her hosting debut at this year’s Youth Music Awards 2024 and is ready to fully embrace her authentic self while showcasing her music, creativity, and vision to the world.

Whelan Barzey is a journalist, podcast host, and community organiser with a focus on uplifting the lived experience of marginalised groups. This passion has underpinned his work for the likes of The British Blacklist, Time Out London, and My London respectively.
Since first coming aboard the Youth Music team as an interviewer for the 2021 awards show, he has become an ever-present. Over the years, his conversations with music's brightest talents have induced laughter, tears, and meaningful discussions about creating equity and diversity in the music industry.

Olive, winner of The Mainstream’s ‘One’s To Watch’, is an Entertainment Presenter and Podcaster. Olive’s drive and bubbly Gen Z personality has earned her the opportunities to interview Britain’s best talent at the BAFTA’s, BIFA’s, and BFI’s London Film Festival. Her latest achievement is presenting Marvel’s latest documentary in collaboration with The Prince’s Trust, following talented young people on their design journey. Olive is broadcasted every Sunday on B Radio’s “Sunday Slay Show” and on her Podcast “Chai and Crumpets”. On the awards night, Olive will be documenting the awards live on Youth Music’s Instagram.

Tee is a 22 South East Londoner who is a presenter and a content producer. All about music, TV, and culture. You can catch her across all social platforms doing interviews in the streets of London, creating TikToks with Love Islanders, producing content at Kiss Fresh, and bringing her fire to the mic, the camera, and the stage. "I am so excited to see the talent get their flowers at this year's Youth Music Awards, and to bring the vibe from the night straight to your FYP!" she says.

Bablu Shikdar, from Cardiff, is a dynamic presenter known for his vibrant contributions to the creative scene. He has hosted high-profile events such as the Cardiff City x New Balance x IBY collaboration launch, the FAW JD Welsh Cup, and the ItsMyShout Awards. Bablu is also the voice and curator behind Radio Plattform Presents, his podcast show that showcases emerging talent and fresh perspectives in the creative industry. He has worked with Welsh MOBO outlet Larynx Entertainment, further solidifying his influence in the industry. With a passion for music and youth culture, Bablu brings energy and authenticity to every stage.
Siena Ferguson

Siena is a singing and piano teacher based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and from 2023 until July of this year she was a member of the Oh Yeah Centre’s Volume Control team where she helped to organise all ages gigs with a group of young people. She has decided to continue working in live events throughout her gap year and is starting that off with the Youth Music Awards.
Anastasia Gouli
Event Runner
Born and raised in Corfu, Anastasia developed a deep connection with music from an early age. Her interest was sparked during after-school car rides with her mother, where they would sing along to CDs by artists like Amy Winehouse and Nelly Furtado. This early exposure led her to join one of Corfu’s leading choirs, where she regularly performed at events and participated in musicals.
In 2017, Anastasia moved to the UK to study music, where she began exploring jazz and pop, while also learning about the business side of the industry, including music marketing, distribution, and live events. During her time at university, she served as President of a jazz band, and since then has taken part in various projects, such as organising a sold-out event featuring Greek independent artists, writing for music blogs, and contributing to the organisation of a small music festival.

Daniel has always been into all things creative – film, TV, music, fashion. "Music in particular has always been a super powerful force in my life and gave me such a sense of comfort and community growing up. I’m most inspired when I’m around or in the presence of talented, musical people, particularly younger artists who remind me what people my age can be capable of when they put their whole soul into something. I try to channel this drive in my daily life too," he says.

Born and raised in South London, Felix now lives in the west country with his big family after studying in Scotland. Music is his passion and when he's not gigging and recording with his own band, Felix is on the hunt for new and exciting talent in the UK ahead of a hopeful career in A&R and artist management.

Maanya is currently a final-year student at the University of Warwick, and has always loved music. She grew up dancing, acting and writing her own songs, performing at school and local pubs. "I can't wait to celebrate the extraordinary upcoming talent and witness the next generation of music," she says.

A Glasgow-based photographer who rediscovered her passion for photography after attending a post-pandemic concert with her camera, ever since, Rachel has been actively pursuing it. In 2023, she set a personal goal to attend as many concerts as possible—not just for fun, but to refine her photography skills. By the end of the year, she successfully attended 11 concerts, capturing each moment through her lens.

He hopes to transition into the film industry in the near future after doing some set photography and falling in love with it.

With over six years of industry experience spanning from large scale arenas and festivals to independent venues, he has developed a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for alternative art styles.
