Addressing the gender imbalance in music

We fund a number of projects that are targeted specifically at girls and young women, who are still widely under-represented across many areas of the music sector.

Inclusion in practice

Essex Music Education Hub realised that opportunities for music-making in the county’s special schools were patchy at best. They embarked on a strategic plan to ensure disabled children don’t miss out.

Our business plan

Many children and young people - particularly those experiencing challenges in their lives - miss out on opportunities to regularly make music, to progress and fulfill their potential. We want to address this imbalance and tackle it head-on.
