Project: School Ground Sounds, London

Self made South London hip-hop rapper Lil Trubz (real name Liam Henry) started his journey in music as a participant in School Ground Sounds’. Trubz continues his passion with music by releasing new music and EPs, as well as continuing to work with the South London music charity, to support new participants on the project, and mentor younger artists.

He’s had performance opportunities like TedTalks, Brixton Jamm, The Ned London, and O’Meara London- where young artists from School Ground Sounds performed with Newton Faulkner during Youth Music’s Give A Gig Week.

In 2018, Trubz set up a new platform for up and coming artists called ‘Tracks on Tap’. What started off as an online platform, quickly turned into a regular open mic night at Streatham Space Project, which consists of live performances, live DJ, open mic and karaoke. Tracks On Tap receives funding from a music organization and network called Wired4Music. (A project also supported by Youth Music).
