Supported by the UK government’s Kickstart Scheme, we're looking for four young people to join Youth Music for a 6 month paid internship.
About Youth Music
We believe that every young person should have the chance to change their life through music. Yet our research shows that many can’t because of who they are, where they’re from or what they’re going through.
Our insights, influence and investment in grassroots organisations and to young people themselves means that more 0–25-year-olds from can make, learn and earn in music.
Youth Music is a national charity funded thanks to the National Lottery via Arts Council England, players of People's Postcode Lottery and support from partners, fundraisers and donors.
About the opportunities
If you want a career working in music, charities or with young people then this is a great opportunity. There are four roles available working within teams across our organisation.
You'll play a key role in bringing our newly defined brand to life. You’ll help create stories, developing written, visual and video content across our website and social media channels to demonstrate the impact of our work and increase audience engagement.
The role sits in our Grants and Learning Team, who are responsible for managing our funding programmes. You'll provide integral administrative and project support for the team, helping give out over 300 grants each year to support music work with children and young people.
Research & Evaluations Intern
The job sits in our Research and Evaluations Team, who are responsible for managing our impact measurement and research projects. You'll work with numerical and written sources of evidence (quantitative and qualitative research), and learn how to collect, prepare, analyse, and interpret a range of different data.
This role sits in our engagement team who oversee everything from our NextGen programme to brand partnerships to the Youth Music Awards. You'll gain on-the-job training, delivering funding programmes and working on a large-scale event.
