Role: Assistant Artist Manager
Term: 6 months beginning 10th Jan 2022 (start date flexible)
Hours: Part-time (25 hours/week)
Salary: National Living Wage (plus employer National Insurance contributions)
Location: Remote working (London based preferable, not essential)
Criteria: Must be aged 18-24 and currently enrolled for Universal Credit
Number 34 Music has partnered with the UK Government Kickstarter Scheme to provide a position for an enthusiastic, focused and driven individual to join our team. The person must meet the above criteria, including currently claiming Universal Credit, in order to be eligible to apply.
Main Duties:
- Creative input for all aspects of an artist’s project.
- Day-to-day tasks surrounding the running of an artists career, including records, publishing, merchandise,
- touring, press, radio etc.
- Campaign strategy development and implementation.
- Research and administration.
- Scouting new artists and identifying A&R opportunities.
- Upkeep of company social media channel.
- Liaising with artists on the roster on a day-to-day basis.
This is an opportunity to build from the ground up with a new and exciting artist management company. Number 34 was founded by Paul Humphreys in the summer of 2019. Paul’s previous projects include Rita Ora, Iggy Azalea and Kodaline.
Number 34 now boasts a roster of three artists and one writer/producer. Our artists are signed to some of the biggest companies in the industry including Kobalt, Ninja Tune and The Orchard and have headline tours booked for Q4 2021. As the company grows, we are looking for somebody to come in at entry level with a view to staying long-term and developing into a full time artist manager.
The individual must be extremely focused, self-motivated and organised. A love of music is essential! Key skills include:
- Timekeeping
- Delivering on tasks in a timely fashion
- Initiative and research experience
- Excellent admin skills
- Design and social media management skills are a bonus
- A strong desire to learn and implement on the job training
