SCHOOL OF LOCKDOWN X YOUTH MUSIC INCUBATOR

We’re throwing open the doors and giving you the keys to Lyrix Organix! We are seeking SIX of the next gen of under-represented event makers and creative upstarts – aged 18-25 years old.

WHAT IS ON OFFER? - Paid internship with Lyrix Organix (7 months @£250 per month) - Get paid to attend live event industry workshops & masterclasses by leading experts (15 in total) - Co-produce two shows at the legendary Union Chapel as a team - Learn about Event Management for live and hybrid (live+online) events - Designed for freelancers & part time creatives

‘School of Lockdown’ is a career development incubator for under-represented 18-25s in the music industries. This will be a 9-month series of hybrid live events/workshops for young people, by young people - with mentoring and global opportunities. We will be equipping them with the skills, shaping their vision and offering entry points to major players in the industries via our partner network.

Two of the emerging producers will receive a grant of £1k each to manage on behalf of the team. Throughout the project, we will offer group workshops, private workshops, 1 on 1 discussions and constant mentorship.

Applications open this Thursday, 2nd September. 

When does it start?
The programme starts on 19th November.

Ideal participants
1.    emerging event producers,
2.    under-represented voices (e.g. South/SE Asian, African Caribbean, Latin-American, LGBTQ+, people living with a disability...)
3.    Working in or around the events industry, Or trying to get in? Or interested to collaborate with others?
4.    UK resident ages 18 - 25
