Aged 18-30 and looking to find out what it means to be an A&R - or to be scouted by one? Our first London-based NextGen Community event of 2025 lets young creatives in on everything they need to know.

This event is brought to you in collaboration with Young Guns Network. Food will kindly be provided by our partners at Wingstop.

Join us at Kobalt's HQ for a panel discussion on everything there is to know about A&R, from finding jobs in the industry to finding talent to sign.

Our panel of industry experts will explore what it means to be an A&R, delving into their journeys while busting common myths related to the role. You'll gain valuable insights into the A&R process, learn about our panellists' successes as well as their challenges, and hear top tips for making your own way into the world of A&R.

After the panel, enjoy a networking session with fellow young creatives as well as industry professionals, plus performances from three of our NextGen Funded artists.

Panellists:

  • Zach Bingham Thaker (Creative Scout at Kobalt)
  • Darryl Parkinson (Senior A&R Manager at Kobalt)
  • Lunuck Bourgess (Managing Director at Umbrella Songs Publishing)
